Foad completed his PhD in chemical engineering at The University of Adelaide in 2020 and holds a master’s degree in advanced chemical engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
For his PhD research project, Foad worked on multi-scale modelling of particulate systems. He developed a hybrid shared/distributed memory parallel code to control and optimise pharmaceutical tablet coating processes.
Foad has worked as an engineering consultant to provide viable solutions to various problems in the mining industry with advanced computer simulation tools. His professional expertise also includes working as a lead researcher at the Elite Advanced Research Center in Tehran and working in the HPC support team at The University of Adelaide.
Foad joined the CIC in April 2021 as a high-performance computational specialist to work across a multitude of projects.
