Faisal holds a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering as well as a Master of Computer Engineering. Later on, he also completed a Micromasters in IoT and a Masters of International Business and Entrepreneurship in 2021 from Curtin University Perth. Additionally, he is an active member of Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
He has over 20 years of ICT and telecommunications industry experience specialising in solution design, technical sales, quality assurance, and project management. Prior to joining ASDAF, Faisal worked with Inpex ICHTHYS and Australia’s National Broadband Network (NBN) projects. Additionally, he worked as an Innovation Central Perth (ICP) engineering associate in 2021, helping SMEs and tech start-ups launch their digital transformation innovation projects in international markets.
Faisal has joined the Australian Space Data Analysis Facility (ASDAF) in January 2022 as project coordinator to facilitate Australian SMEs to develop innovative products and solutions using space data and accelerate the Australian space economy.
